One of the stand out activities was butchering a deer and enjoying a venison feast.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I know this is not to everyone's taste. But I believe we should all have an understanding of where food comes from. Decided an antler sewing case was needed so set too in making one up.<div>The body is a section of Red Deer antler drilled out. A Maple cap was made for the top and bottom and a leather cord passed through to hold it together and also hang it around the neck.</div><div>The waxed thread is wrapped around some antler winders I made. I'd seen the Enzo Necker kit online and had thought of buying one but would have probably chosen a wooden scale choice. However English Handmade Knives had the kits in but only with orange G10. Its not a material I'd tried before and not a colour I would have picked but thought, why not :)<br />

So here's the kit and the finished article. I actually quite like the orange now. Would make a great backup knife, so I need to sort a sheath now.<br />

I love the contrasting colour in the grain from this piece. However I also picked up some Buffalo horn recently. So though, that may look nice. Both are classed as UK legal as they are none locking and under the 3" blade limit.
